Vineyard Vest is a super easy project to work up in any type of
yarn. The greatest thing about it is that the pattern helps create
the shaping so there is no need to decrease or increase as you
work the pattern.
The dainty pattern in the vest allows you several options when
it comes to closing the vest. You can use a button, shawl pin or
ribbon. This would be a perfect project for Lace weight yarns,
sock weight yarns or even DK weight yarns. In fact with a
swatch and a little math you have the ability to use any yarn
from thick to thin. Just simply swatch the pattern in the yarn
and needles you wish then, calculate the number of repeats
needed across to obtain the size you want.
