Vallisneria Socks

from Desert Rose Fiber Arts
(6) Name: 'Knitting : Vallisneria Socks
Vallisneria Socks
Vallisneria Socks

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit in the round, dpns, twisted sts

Pattern Description:

The lovely colors of the Wooly Wonka Fibers Superwash Bamboo Sock Yarn reminded me of sea grasses. So I came up with a unique stitch pattern that conveyed that same feeling of sea grasses gently swaying in the ocean breeze.

"Vallisneria Socks" feature cable ribbing that flows gently into the twisted stitch pattern, which is carried down the leg onto the instep.

The cuff to toe pattern is suitable for the adventurous beginner through experienced knitter. The design is easily adapted for either the 2-circular needle or magic loop techniques.

32 sts and 40 rnds = 4 inches in the Twisted St pattern, slightly stretched.
