Pattern Description:

Uncomplicated Cable Socks (top down - 2 circular needle method)
Bonus: Instructions for making a sock pouch for gift giving or storage are included.
This pattern is appropriate for both men and women. It became my all time favorite after the very first sock I knitted. While the pattern looks complicated, it is actually a great pattern to follow for a beginning sock knitter.


In pattern stitch unblocked and un-stretched, 22 sts - 16 rows = 2"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • S/M/L/XL (54/60/66/72)sts


  • Knit Picks Stroll - Hand painted, Fingering Weight, 462 yards/100g, 75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25 % nylon. Sample color Springtime - tonal.
  • Any sock yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • 2 - 24" circular needles #1 US/2.5mm or size to obtain gauge.

Suggested yarn:

462 yards of Fingering weight
