Basic Skills Necessary:

  • circular knitting
  • provisional cast on (tutorial link provided)

My little Maya is all about skirts and dresses, twirling, dancing, and singing. She also feels very strongly about having rainbow clothes, and was delighted with this skirt more than anything else.

I hope that your own twirling, singing, and dancing little girls will like this skirt just as much.

The skirt is knit entirely in the round from top down. It begins with a provisional cast on, which is used to allow for a knitted on waistband. There are two distinct sections in the skirt construction: A-line top portion and the twirly bottom part. The top portion is constructed in a way as to accommodate any size and shape. Both sections can be easily adjusted to give the skirt a custom length.

This pattern is for the skirt only, matching cardigan is available through Ravelry.com.
