Pattern Description:

Scary skull socks that are on fire!
Stranded top-down construction with a semi-square heel in 3 sizes. Designed for pirates, sassy hot knitters & those who love them.

* chart-heavy pattern - print only the pages you need
* choice of patterns for toes (plain, striped or flame pattern)

The sample pictured is a Medium with flaming toe: (one sock weighs 46g)
RED I used 20g for one sock (95yds/87m)
BLACK used 26g for one sock (120yds/110m)


36 sts/40rows - 10cm/4" in single colour stockinette
38 sts/40rows - 10cm/4" in stranded pattern

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • small/medium/large


  • 2mm/2.25mm ; 0us/1us needles
  • Fingering weight sock yarn 100g of each colour

You Will Also Need:

  • Stitch markers if you like to use them
  • yarn needle for grafting toe

Excellent Thorough pattern  February 25, 2013

I love this pattern! I will recommend this to everyone!
The pattern is so clear, even almost-beginner knitters can knit this. It’s a lot of work but it’s fun all the way through!
Every row is different but every single stitch is charted out (in every size!) so you will never feel lost or at least in doubt what to do.
I’ve never done much sock-knitting nor colorwork but these socks turned out GREAT!
