Pattern Description:

An elegant and easy to wear kimono wrap worked up in sport weight yarn. The body features a simple to work drop stitch pattern that lends itself to hand painted or solid yarn beautifully. The kimono featured has a wrapped tie closure, but it can easily be replaced with your favorite shawl pin.


24 sts and 31 rows = 4″/10cm in Stockinette stitch with US size 5 needles.
24 sts and 31 rows = 4″/10cm in Drop Stitch pattern, before dropping stitches.
18 sts and 31 rows = 4″/10cm in Drop Stitch pattern, after dropping stitches.

  • Fits bust size: 33 (35, 37, 39, 41, 45, 49, 53)"/84 (89, 94, 99, 104, 114, 124.5, 134.5)cm


  • Louet Gems Sport (100% Merino Wool, 100g, 225yds/205m); 3 (3, 3, 3, 4) skeins Caribbean Blue
  • 1 pair US 5 (3.75mm) 36″ or longer circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
  • 1 US size D (3.25mm)crochet hook
