Do you remember the candy Sugarmice sweets we used to buy as kids? Well this was the inspiration behind this Trilogy ...

This is Part 1 of a series of 3 patterns with extreme versatility to mix and match - add or omit the intarsia charts where and how you want to make a special Layette personal to you - ideal for twins and triplets if you wish to dress them in similar but not matching garments

Part 1 consists of:
Pink set:
Pinafore Skirt
Shortie Cardigan
Lacey Bootees

Lilac set:
Matinee Jacket
Mousie Bonnet
Mousie Bootees

Part 2 (For The Boys) to follow soon and then Part 3 will complete the Layette


On 12 sts and 16 rows = 10cm x 10cm (2" x 2") on 4mm

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approx 16" chest to fit 0-6 months or 20-22" reborn doll
  • Approx 18" chest to fit 6-9 months or 22-24" reborn doll
  • Approx 20" chest to fit 9-12 months or 26"+ reborn doll
  • Approx 22" chest to fit 12-18 months


  • Pink Set: Approx 350-450grams of pink Double Knit yarn (USA sport, AUS 5-8ply)
  • Approx 25grams of deep rose pink for intarsia
  • Approx 30grams of grey for intarsia
  • Lilac Set: Approx 220-300grams of cream Double Knit yarn (USA sport, AUS 5-8ply)
  • Approx 30grams of deep rose pink for intarsia and ears

You Will Also Need:

  • Size UK10 & 8 Knitting Needles (USA 3 & 6 - Metric 3.25mm & 4mm)
  • 4(4-5-5) x Buttons for Lilac Set
  • 6 x buttons for Pink Set
  • 12-16 Bows to decorate Skirt and Hat on each set (if required)
  • Length of ribbon for waist of Pinafore Skirt and Bootees
