- knit, purl, knit 2 together, slip stitches, pass slipped stitches over, 3 needle bind off (a link to a tutorial is given)
Pattern Description:
A functional and sturdy little vest designed with outdoor use in mind.
For those Spring and Fall days when your kiddos get warm in their coats but need a little something to keep their bodies toasty.
Also great for adding layers and warmth during colder weather.
This pattern looks great on boys and girls alike. You could also add some toggle style buttons or a zipper if desired.
This knits up SO QUICKLY and is super soft and snuggly in the super bulky yarn suggested.
Gauge:
2.5 sts and 3 rows in 1 inch in stockinette stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 12-18 months, 2T, 3T, 4T, 5 years
Materials:
- 150-225 yards of super bulky yarn, such as Spud and Chloe Outer
- Size US 15 needles on a 24" or longer cable for knitting flat (back and forth)
- stitch markers
- waste yarn
- a third needle for performing three needle bind off
