Tension should be loose for a draped feel to the fabric, if your tension is tight and you can not see the lace patterns forming, please go up a needle size for a more loose feel.
Shawl is a "TOP - Down" GARTER tab stitch shawl, which means that you are creating the shawl with only a few stitches and then will increase until you have reached your final size. A "TOP-Down" shawl also means that it is knitted from the neck area down to the wingspan for the arms.
I have included photos and charts along with written instructions to make it very easy for you to see and understand the pattern. :)
The shawl starts off as a triangle and then is increased in the wingspan, making the final shape a semi-circle.
It is fun and can be easy to do if you already have dealt with charts and Yarn overs. I created the pattern with a fingering/DK weight yarn, however, if you are confident that you can work with lace or thinner yarns, the pattern will be very defined the thinner the yarn you use. Enjoy!
