I've added the yarn information to the pattern page. I totally missed it. Thanks to all of you who brought it to my attention.
THANKS, THIS IS JUST WHAT I NEEDED.
I will knit this for my daughter aged 7 for this spring.
what would I need to do if I want to use a Light Worsted/ 8 ply wool , that takes 30 stiches and 38 rows?
There are several different gauges (stockinette, cables, twisted sts) that were taken into consideration in establishing sizes for this pattern. Regardless of the yarn you select, it will be important to keep the gauge as suggested in the pattern. A lighter weight yarn at the suggested gauge may give you a looser stitch. That may or may not work well. You'll have to swatch using the different types of stitches to see if that's the look you want.
I always exprment by starting the sweater or knittin test swatches and KEEPING NOTES.
Wow, this is a gorgeous vest. I love the details. I need to practice my knitting some more before I can make something like this.
I was notified that changes to the pattern were made. How do I get the latest updates to mypurchased pattern?
