I am working on this right now. It's lovely. This is my first project that is more than a square blanket, so I am learning all kinds of new techniques. I added an extra inch to the back, but that doesn't account for 22 EXTRA stitches that I have after the "pick up and knit" directions. I've read that you can pick up three and skip one and if I do that, then I will end up with the correct number of stitches, plus two extra. Any suggestions?

I made this because I thought it was lovely....Don't know what happened but it did not come out right. Took it all out and will use the yarn for something else...too bad. I finished it and it was unwearable something wrong in the shoulder area...It is most likely my mistake but reread the instructions and could not figure out what I did wrong. It looked nice but no one could wear it the collar was not fitting properly etc. I still think it is very nice. Too bad I am not experienced enough to make it.

Is it possible to add buttons? Are there eny hints where to place them?

This sweater is so beautiful! I am working on it now. Question: are the sleeves full length or 3/4 length? If 3/4 length, how would you recommend making the sleeves full length?

I would decide how you want the sleeves to end, for example, close fitting or loose. Once you decide that, plan for how you will need to decrease (or not) to achieve the look you want. You could look at instructions for a sweater with sleeves that are like the ones you want, and adapt this pattern so you can follow those instructions as you approach the elbow region. I hope this helps.
