The sweater was inspired by ripped jeans. It has slashes that look like rips and placed where the knitter wants them. There are thumbholes in the sample but optional. The body is just a rectangle and the sleeves have a squared off cap for easy knitting and also to match the deconstructed "slashed" mood.
