Pattern Description:

Sirin is the second of four patterns included in the Birds of Mythology ebook released as part of the Malabrigo Freelance Pattern Project for May 2012.

A light lacy tank sweater, Sirin is named for a mythological bird-woman of Russian folklore. The sirins sang beautiful songs to the saints, telling tales of joys to come. Once you hear the sirin's call of this sweater's overall lacy pattern of delicate eyelets and wavy ripples, you won't be able to put it down!

Gauge:

14 stitches = 4 inches in Stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 31 [35, 39, 43, 47, 51]in/79 [89, 99, 109, 119, 129]cm; Finished Measurements

Materials:

  • 400 - 1050 yards (366 - 960 m) of Malabrigo Rios Yarn
  • 1 set of US 9 (5.5 mm) needles for working in the round
  • 1 set of US 10 (6.0 mm) needles for working in the round
