I’m a wife, mum to two young girls (and two guinea pigs), a volunteer treasurer and serve the public four days a week. Knitting and designing is my favourite thing to do in my downtime - when I get some!
I like to focus on practical garments and seamless construction. I love exploring interesting knitting techniques, construction and colour plays.
And I have very little self-control in yarn shops.

Sideways Dude is a fun, and quick, baby knit that's sized for toddlers as well. The unusual construction and the mix of garter and stockinette makes for a stimulating knit that results in a cosy, textured and classic cardigan.
This cardigan is a great unisex gift for new babies. Knit it ahead of time in a neutral colour and make buttonholes on both sides. When the baby is born, sew the buttons onto the left for a girl, the right for a boy, and AT THE SAME TIME sew the obsolete buttonholes closed.
Be warned though - this is an addictive pattern!
PS. Don't be scared by the provisional cast on. The technique used is so simple that you will kick yourself for not learning it earlier.
