Pattern Description:

This waist length, lacy vest will flatter your figure ~ while sequined yarn adds pizzazz to your outfit! And it's easier to knit than it looks.

Knit in "Soft Payette" by Rozetti, the body features a variation of "Fern Lace" which is bordered by a simple waist band. The waist band is knit flat, then the body is picked up from the band and knit in the round to the underarms. From there, the fronts & back are finished separately and joined at the shoulder using the 3-needle bind off technique.

This is a project that knits up pretty quickly. The lace pattern is easy to memorize and 'read'. I can see this vest in tone-on-tone variations, or in a muted handpainted colorway - as well as the vibrant red.

22 sts and 25 1/2 rnds/rows = 4 inches in Fern pattern, blocked
21 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches in Waist Border pattern
