  • Stitches used include, knit, purl, knit 2 together, slip-slip-knit, knit through the back loop, yarn over

Pattern Description:

This A-line sweater is knit from the bottom up in stockinette stitch to the bodice, where lace is added with increases for cap sleeves. There is minimal finishing - joining at shoulders and side seams. No picking up of stitches is required!

Sea Glass has written instructions throughout, with the option of charts for the lace.

(Sea glass is the wonderful, collectible bits of glass that are tumbled smooth in the ocean's surf. One of the most desired colors is a beautiful teal blue.)

Gauge:

5 stitches/inch in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Sizes available - 32", 36", 40", 44"

Materials:

  • Approximately 800 - 1200 yards of DK weight yarn. (The sample used Brown Sheep Yarns "Serendipity Tweed" - 4-6 skeins, depending on size), one size 7 (4.5mm) circular knitting needle, stitch markers, scissors, darning needle.
