Pattern Description:
This sophisticated skirt is quick to knit, worked in the round from the waistband to the hem. The a-line shape skims your figure without clinging and the lace edging, which is knit separately and sewn on, sways gently as you walk. Rather than sewing in a lining, I suggest layering this skirt over a slip that is a darker color than the yarn.
Gauge:
GAUGE: 4" = 18 sts and 22 rounds in Stocking Stitch on larger needles
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Hips: 37.5"(40", 43.5", 47", 50", 51.5", 56")
- Length: 22.75"(23.25", 23.75", 24.25", 24.75", 25.25", 25.75") including 3.25" lace edging
Materials:
- 630(700, 780, 850, 920, 980, 1050) yards worsted weight yarn
- size 7 and 9 circular needles 24" or 29"
- stitch markers
- 1-1.5 yards 1/2" wide elastic
- yarn needle
- bodkin or large safety pin
- sewing needle and thread
