Pattern Description:

This short-sleeved boyfriend cardigan is a classic for girls of any age. It's simple to knit, worked seamlessly from the bottom-up. Sarabeth looks great worn open, or buttoned closed and topped off with a belt. Experiment with lighter weight yarns worked at gauge for a looser fabric. Project is great for beginners. Shown in size 10 in solid, and size 2 with colorblock stripes. Take a look at the Adult version (sold separately) with finished chest up to 51." Pattern now includes instructions for Rainbow Version as well.

Gauge:

20 sts and 28 rows per 4 inches in stockinette on larger needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished Chest: 22(24, 26, 27.5, 29.25)[31.25, 32.75, 34] inches
  • Size: 2(4, 6, 8, 10)[12, 14, 16]

Materials:

  • 335(400, 460, 550, 610)[680, 760, 830] yards dk or worsted weight yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Size 7(4.5mm) needles and set of 5 DPNs, Size 6(4 mm) needles and set of 5 DPNs, stitch markers
  • Notions: 7(8, 9, 10, 10)[11, 12, 12] 1?2 to 3?4 -inch buttons
