Don't you, too, just love anything nautical!?
This Sailor Blouse is knit in stockinette stitch, bottom-up in the round. The cute contrasting trim is worked in seed stitch. A sweetheart neckline in the front has been combined with a square neckline in the back to echo the look of sailor costumes from the past, while raw stockinette hems add a bit of contemporary naughtiness. Cute cap sleeves safe your shoulders from sunburn.
Knit in cotton it's a comfortable blouse for summer, in wool it's a great piece for layering over a long-sleeved shirts. It's such a versatile pattern and a fast knit, that you'll soon want one in every colour!
The shape is fitted with shaping at the side and vertical darts in the front and back. For the busty girls, horizontal bust dart instructions are included, too. Work the Sailor Blouse in your size for a loose, airy fit (5cm/2" positive ease) or one size smaller for a sexy close fitting top.
For the body: 21 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4'' in stockinette stitch on 4mm needles.
For the trim: 28 sts x 48 rows = 10 x seed stitch on 3mm needles.

I learned knitting, crochet and sewing from my mum when I was young. I kept on going from there and soon invented my own projects. From making up my own patterns to writing them down and grading them it was only a small step. And here we are. :)
