Pattern Description:

A lightweight, body-skimming lace cardigan with a romantic vintage feel. If you love knitting shawls and wish you had more ways to wear them, this is a wonderful option. The shaping and sleeve lengths are customizable, with details that can be played up for vintage "Downton Abbey" elegance, or made modern for a luxe Bohemian look.


24 sts x 32 rows = 4 inches square in stitch pattern A, using US#4/3.5mm needles, after blocking.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Chest 32 (36, 40, 44, 48) inches with instructions for individual fit Length: 28 (29, 30, 31, 31.5) inches Sleeve length: 17 (17, 17.5, 17.75, 18) inches


  • Helen's Lace by Lorna's Laces 50% Silk/50% Wool; 1250 yards/ 3.99 ounces. Short Sleeve 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2) skeins. Long Sleeve 1 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins. US#4/3.5mm needles. US#3/3.25mm needles. US#C/2.75mm crochet hook for picot edging or US#2/3mm circular needle. Between 7 and 10 0.5 inch buttons. 4 primary markers. 11 secondary markers. Waste yarn for holding sleeve and body stitches.
