Basic Skills Necessary:

Pattern Description:

This is one of 4 nursery rhyme sweaters to knit, with the design on the front and back of each sweater. (The other 3 are Humpty Dumpty, The Owl and the Pussycat and The Cow Jumped Over the Moon.)

Easy to follow full color stitch charts are provided for each side, and there are instructions for changing yarn colors for the intarsia design.

Sleeves are picked up from the drop shoulder and knit down to the wrist for a custom fit.

Gauge:

10 sts and 12 rows = 2" (5cm).

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 2, 6, 10, small and medium

Materials:

  • Yarn: double knitting or worsted cotton or wool, red yarn 225 yards (205m) to 700 yards (640m), 25 yards (23m) each of white and black; 10 yards (9 meters) each of skin tone, grey and gold
  • Size 8 (5mm) knitting needles

You Will Also Need:

  • stitch markers
  • 2 stitch holders
  • Large tapestry needle (blunt point) for finishing
