Basic Skills Necessary:

  • provisional cast on
  • seaming
  • yarn overs
  • passing slipped stitches over knitted stitches
  • reading written instructions

Pattern Description:

This lightweight lace shrug is quick to knit and can be used as an elegant stole if seaming is not desired.

Lace without purling. Lace with rest rows. ps I -heart- you.

stitches used: knit, yo, sl1, pssok2 (see pattern for full description).

lace repeat: over 4 rows

finished size: 18" wide by 42" in length.

modifications: to size up to accommodate a wider arm circumference, cast-on 3 stitches for each additional half-inch.


24 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 18" wide x 42" long


  • 2, 24 circular knitting needles US 6 (4 mm)
  • 4 balls Patons Grace
