medium skill level requirement Intermediate

  • Knit, purl, short rows, M1, K2tog, ssk.

Pattern Description:

I love knits that drape and flow and I wanted a vest I could wrap myself up in.
This is a quick knit on large needles.
Don't you want to know how to knit this vest all in one piece?
There are only 2 small seams to sew.
Choose a fiber or mixture of fibers that have a nice drape, like linen & llama or a cotton blend.
It is not a fitted piece so sizing and gauge can be somewhat forgiving (I didn't really say that, did I?)
The shawl collar that disappears into a exaggerated back length is very flattering for many body types.

10sts = 4in/10cm, knitted at a very loose gauge

My design philosophy: My designs are a mixture of traditional and non-traditional elements. My patterns are easy to read and are often based on simple shapes and techniques that minimize complicated finishing. The majority of my patterns are accessories so sizing is often not critical. My love of texture and color shows up in my ability to mix yarns and to match yarns to particular styles.
