Pattern Description:

The weather has been cooler lately, definitely requiring a jacket - or a good warm sweater. This is how Olive came to be, a double-breasted cardigan that fits the bill somewhere in-between. Worked up quickly on Aran weight wool of basic stockinette and garter stitches, the resulting dense and springy fabric is perfect for the subtle shaping of this piece, and especially cozy wrapped around you - twice - with 6 buttons closing her overlapping front panels. Worked flat, from the bottom up, Olive is begun as one piece, then split to separate front garter panels from their stockinette center. Each panel is worked individually, and seamed at the end. Sleeves are set in. You'll find Olive to be a super quick knit with stylish and versatile results!
