Pattern Description:
This open-front baby-doll cardi is worked from the top down an a unique modular fashion with pretty shawl collar, gathered bodice, yokes in front and back. Sweater can be made in cropped, mid length, and tunic-length versions, and sleeves can be optionally short, three-quarter length or long.
Gauge:
24 sts and 32 rows = 4" in
stockinette stitch.
Materials:
- Yarn: Sunday Knits 3 ply (246 yds / 225 m per 50g skein in Eden (100% merino), Nirvana (92% merino 8% cashmere), Angelic (75% merino 25% angora) or Brigadoon (100% merino tweed): 3 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6) skeins for short-sleeved cropped cardi, 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins for three-quarter sleeved mid-length sweater, 5 (6, 6, 7, 8, 8, 9) skeins for long-sleeved tunic-length cardigan.
- Substitute any light sport weight yarn that works to gauge
You Will Also Need:
- Size 5 US / 3.75 mm, size 4 US / 3.5 mm for ribbing only; tapestry needle.
