Pattern Description:

These socks, with the glint of silver, the shine of silk and the beautiful colors of an able dyer are knit into a pattern that reflects a heavenly night sky. Gentle undulations echo the celestial sphere, with yarn-overs dancing across the clouds like shooting stars.

This pattern is written for top-down 2-at-a-Time sock knitting, but experienced sock knitters can easily adapt the directions to their preferred sock knitting method.


8 stitches x 11 rows = 1 inch in stockinette stitch.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished foot circumference 7". Sock is designed to fit a foot that is 8-9" in circumference


  • One skein Black Bunny Fibers Stella, or 300-400 yards of fingering weight yarn
  • US 1 40" long circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
