Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knitting in the round

Pattern Description:

A dramatic single-yarn sock, featuring an Estonian Fishtail stitch pattern. For maximum impact, choose a self-striping yarn with strong contrasts and abrupt colour changes. Two cuff options are given; a simple Wavy top or a more elaborate 'no swatching required' sideways sock top.
Instructions are also given for my short row heel.

Aim for a dense, durable fabric; the more firmly a sock is worked, the better it will wear. Suggested Smaller needle sizes 2-2.5 mm (US # 0-2) with Larger needle sizes 2.25-2.75 mm (US # 1-2.5)
