Pattern Description:

Marguerite is a sweet little sweater knit in one piece from the top down. It includes enough lace to make it fun and feminine. This is a great knit for an advanced beginner or an experienced knitter who is new to lace. One should be able to do yarn overs and k2tog. Must block at end. Instructions included for lifted increase, optional button loops, and knit cast on.

This pattern runs on the slim size, so measure the child or choose one size up.

Size: 0-3m (6m, 12m, 18m, 24m) for chest measurement 16 (17, 18, 19, 20) inches

Yarn: MADELINETOSH Tosh Merino Light, 100% Superwash
Merino Wool, fingering weight, 420 yards (384 m) per skein, 1(1, 1, 1, 1-2) skein(s).

Gauge: 27 sts and 36 rows per 4 inches on US 3 in stockinette

Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm), 16 inch circular and DPNs
US 3 (3.25 mm), 16 inch circular

Materials:
tapestry needle
Stitch markers (numerous)
stitch holders (or pieces of yarns)
push pins and towel for blocking
may need button if want tighter neckline

Gauge:

Gauge: 27 sts and 36 rows per 4 inches on US 3 in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Size: 0-3m (6m, 12m, 18m, 24m) for chest measurement 16 (17, 18, 19, 20) inches

Materials:

  • Fingering weight yarn, up to 500 yards

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle, numerous stitch markers, stitch holders, optional button, push pins and towels for blocking, Needles to get gauge.
