Basic Skills Necessary:

  • cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, pick up stitches, bind off, knit flat, work cables, knit in the round

Pattern Description:

This is a seamless cardigan worked from the top-down with the increases worked into the round yoke. The simple cable pattern is worked on the sleeves and body, both front and back. All the cables in this create a very warm fabric.

After I sewed on the adorable animal buttons, I "saw" the name looking up at me. The buttons are the heads of lions and tigers and bears. Just too cute!


22 sts / 26 rows = 4" in cable stitch pattern

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 0-3 (3-6, 6-9, 9-12) mos Finished chest = 17" (18", 19", 20")


  • Worsted weight yarn 220 - 420 yds, Needles (straight & double pointed): US 8 (5.00)

You Will Also Need:

  • 6 buttons to fit buttonholes, 2 stitch holders or waste yarn, tapestry needle, cable needle
