Basic Skills Necessary:

  • short rows, knitting in the round, yo's, ssk, k2tog, figure eight cast on

Pattern Description:

This sock is knitted using Magic Loop from the toe-up, using standard toe construction, a short-row heel with heel flap, and a leg pattern reminiscent of the wavy globs in a lava lamp, topped by decorative ribbing.


28 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • women's medium


  • 462 yds fingering weight yarn, US sz 2 circular or double pointed needles
