Pattern Description:

A top inspired by Marilyn Monroe in her infamous white 'subway' dress in the movie The Seven Year Itch,

Lapis is a simple but elegant top with a flattering silhouette and a high neckline, which makes a very versatile piece that can easily be dressed up or down. The back features a keyhole fastened by buttons.

This pattern includes some photo tutorials. Suitable for advanced beginners. This pattern had been test knitted.

Gauge:

25 sts/28 rows over 4"/10cm in St st, on US6/4mm needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To fit 32 [ 36, 40, 44, 48, 52 ] inch (Bust)

Materials:

  • US0/2mm circular needles
  • US6/4mm circular needles
  • 700 - 1200 yd Light-DK/Sport weight yarn that is light and drapey
  • A small crochet hook around US B1/2mm

You Will Also Need:

  • 2 Stitch Holders
  • 5 Stitch Markers
  • 3 detachable Stitch Markers (or paperclips)
  • Tapestry needle
  • 3 buttons approx. 0.5" wide
  • Sewing thread and needle
  • Optional: An extra knitting needle

Suggested yarn:

700 yards of Sport weight
