Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Decreases are made in lace panels for the neck and sleeve. The sweater is worked flat then sewn together.

Pattern Description:

This is a long sleeve, fitted, short sweater. It makes a nice, light-weight sweater over summery tops.
Features include lace panels on the front, back, and sleeves against a stockinette background. It is finished with a knit band up the front and around the neck.
The pattern includes a schematic, charts and written instructions for the lace patterns, and instructions for 3 sizes.
If you use Fixation, or other elastic yarn, the yardage may be slightly less than if you use Bamboo, or a wool. The small size took 7 balls (700 yds) of Fixation but 4 balls (800 yds) of Bamboo.


26 stitches and 38 rows = 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Chest size 34, 36, 38" (86.4, 91.4, 96.5 cm). There is about 1 inch (2.54 cm) "extra" across the front.


  • US 5 - 3.75 mm - needle, or size needed to get gauge

You Will Also Need:

  • 7 stitch markers and a stitch holder are recommended.

Suggested yarn:

700 yards of DK weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

SWTC Bamboo or Cascade Fixation
