This pretty toe up socks has a stitch pattern which incorporates twisted stitches and yarn over which look like cloisters with a little heart pattern created from the yarn overs at their peaks. I chose a grey yarn which reminded me of stone work and was in my stash, however any semi solid/ solid good 4ply sock yarn would look lovely in this pattern.
Although available in just one size, the stitch pattern is fairly stretchy and will easily fit a larger foot. This can also be achieved by using thicker yarn/bigger needles.
Skills needed: Following charted lace patterns although written instruction are also provided, working in the round, working twisted stitches, short row shaping using the wrap and turn (w&t) method.
Yarn requirements: Any 100g (459yds/420m) sock yarn you wish to use, however I would suggest a semi solid or solid yarn as anything with too much variation and you will loose the pattern.
32 stitches to 48 rows using 2.25mm over 4"/10cm in stocking stitch, worked in the round.
400 meters of Fingering weight
