Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knitting in the round, purling, knit 2 together to decrease, mattress stitch (or seaming method of choice), three needle bind off to finish hood (video link listed in pattern), picking up stitches

Pattern Description:

The teen/adult version of the hoodsie I designed for my kids. It's the perfect Fall piece to throw on over a light shirt to take the chill off.

Also versatile and warm for the Winter months. You will be sure to get a lot of use out of this casual, yet stylish, hooded sweater.

A quick-knit adult garment on size 11 needles and very minimal seaming.

Gauge:

14 stitches and 19 rows in 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Materials:

  • US size 11 needles
  • 475-650 yards of bulky or heavy aran weight yarn, shown in Cascade Eco Wool

You Will Also Need:

  • stitch marker
  • a third needle for three needle bind off
  • tapestry needle for weaving in ends and seaming
