Basic Skills Necessary:
- knitting in the round, purling, knit 2 together to decrease, picking up stitches, three needle bind off, knit in the front and back to increase
Pattern Description:
A cute and durable little hooded vest, perfect on it's own or layered during cooler weather.
Knit in the round and then divided for sleeves with very minimal seaming at the shoulders. Finished off with a lightweight little hood.
Try a cotton blend for a lighter weight version, or a warmer wool for a cold weather hoodie. Either way, this little vest knits up very quickly.
Inspired by our many trips to the Northwoods to visit my parents, it's the perfect piece to take the chill off.
Gauge:
14 stitches and 22 rows in 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- sizes from 6 months to 8 years included in pattern
Materials:
- size 10.5 needles for knitting in the round
- 250-450 yards of worsted or heavy worsted weight yarn, shown in Spud and Chloe sweater
- stitch marker
- tapestry needle for weaving in ends and seaming shoulders
- third needle for three needle bind off
