Basic Skills Necessary:

  • twist stitches
  • Kitchener stitch
  • increase and decrease
  • knit and purl
  • cast on and bind off

Pattern Description:

It wasn't hard to realize that I was going to need some sort of pattern to break up the craziness that was this particular dye lot of Koigu.

I didn't want any pattern that was too fancy to keep from being overwhelmed by the yarn. I decided to go with a twisted slipped stitch pattern, travelling down ribbed panels, which makes for a snug & warm pair of socks!


8 stitches = 1" in Stockinette Stitch


  • 350 yards of fingering weight yarn
  • Set of 5 US size 1 1/2 (2.5mm) dpn, or size to obtain gauge

You Will Also Need:

  • 3 stitch markers
  • 1 tapestry needle
  • 1 cable needle
