Pattern Description:

An unusual combination of cardigan and cape, this flattering and easily wearable "cardicape" is a quick and simple knit for an advanced beginner knitter, incorporating simple shaping and slip-stitch patterning. Taking inspiration from the changing colours of fall, and with a silhouette inspired by a grand oak tree, this pattern provides an interesting and organic knit, suitable for all women.

Gauge:

13sts and 21 rows to 10cm/4'' in pattern.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Sizing in this pattern refers to the size of the shoulders. This measure correlates with bust size, but it is recommended that you measure across your shoulders to check. Sizes are Small (shoulders 41cm/16'', bust 81cm/32''), Medium (shoulders 46cm/18'', bust 91cm/36''), Large (shoulders 51cm/20'', bust 102cm/40''), Extra Large (shoulders 56cm/22'', bust 112cm/44''). Sample is size Small.

Materials:

  • Patons Shadow Tweed in shade 06202 (6,6,6,7 balls - 133m/145yds per ball) - 56% Wool, 40% Acrylic, 4% Viscose. 1 pair size 6mm/US10 straight needles. Darning needle. Stitch holder.
