Guacamole is a zippy layering piece offered in sizes 3 mo up to little girl's size 6. Perfect for spring, fall or cool summer nights, this cardigan is as fun to make as it is to wear!
The Guacamole Sweater has raglan shaping and options for 3/4 or long sleeves. It is knitted flat in one piece (although sleeves are done in the round), and requires no seaming (except closing up a very small hole in the underarm.)
Test knitters estimated the difficulty level of this pattern at "intermediate" because of the twisted stitch pattern. This pattern knits up quickly and is sure to be a favorite that you use time and again!
Though this pattern assumes only ery basic prior knowledge (knit, purl, knit in the round on dpns), it also assumes you are willing to learn a few new tricks. Detailed written instructions are included for the twisted stitches that make up the yoke, the lifted increases that create the raglan shaping, and the applied i-cord button band. Additionally, web links are given to videos for the twisted stitches and i-cord trim, and there's a web link to an illustrated article on the increases included as well.
