Pattern Description:

Inspired by one of fiction's most devious villains usually known simply as "The Evil Queen", these socks are an homage to shape shifters of all kinds. Worked up in a deliciously squishy texture set off by tiny cables, these socks are perfect for showcasing your handpainted yarns. Knit them in a beautiful semi-solid if you're feeling royal, or show off your wild side in a gorgeous variegated colorway! Your feet will thank you for using one of the luxurious yarns pictured here, provided by Anzula Luxury Fibers and The Yarns of Rhichard Devrieze.

Gauge:

32 sts/50 rounds = 4 inches in stockinette

Materials:

  • Approximately 100 grams fingering weight sock yarn - Samples are shown in Anzula Dreamy (75% superwash merino, 15% cashmere, 10% silk; 385 yards per 115 gram skein), colorway: Bark, and Rhichard Devrieze Peppino (100% merino; 225 yards per 50g skein), colorway: Into the Shadows
  • US 1 1/2/2.5 mm 32" circular needle OR set of DPNs
  • Stitch marker
  • Yarn needle
  • Cable needle
  • Scissors
