When Little Red Riding Hood went to visit her grandmother it is probable that she was expecting to receive another new knit. That would explain why she'd stopped to pick flowers in the wood; to show her thanks. Little Red just adores her granny's knits!
This little cardigan, designed exclusively for Red Riding Hood Yarns, is quite possibly Granny's favourite to knit; it's her go-to pattern.
Granny is a bit of a yardage chicken flirt, so this pattern gives her the opportunity to change both sleeve and body length to suit, when her yarn gives her an unexpected surprise.... just like the wolf!
Sample garment is knit from just 200g of yarn, with dress length body and middie length sleeves.
Knit top down and seamlessly, this cardigan features a quaint little lace pattern around the circular yoke and cuffs. Body is knit flat and sleeves are knit in the round.
Lace is both charted and in written form.
22 stitches and 30 rows/rounds in stocking stitch over 4" on 4mm needles.

I'm an aspiring wanna-be Domestic Goddess with two sweet little kidlets and an over-adventurous husband. I dabble in most crafts; but my true loves are knitting and sewing. I can be swayed by cross stitch, macrame and crochet if I'm feeling the polygamous urge. I don't remember life before craft to be honest and I have more WIPs than I care to admit.
I've been self publishing my own patterns since 2008. Most of my patterns are written for my two sweet kids, and are well and truly road tested.
My aim is to create simple, timeless and beautiful patterns that are easy to read but yet result in a fabulous finished garment. Most of the garments I design are seamless.
