Pattern Description:

The Bernat Baby Jacquards Florals yarn really help to make this a cute sweater and a fun knit. The ruffle around the front placket is far easier to do than it looks. This sweater is knit from the top down.

TIP: When using the Jacquards Florals yarn and knitting a garment afrom the top down, do NOT pull the yarn from the center of the skein or your "flowers" will be upside down. Pull the yarn from the outside of the skein. When knitting a garment from the bottom up, pull from the center of the skein.

Gauge:

23 sts/30 rows = 4" stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Size: 0-3 mos (3-6mos, 6-9mos, 9-12mos) Finished chest: 17" (18", 19", 20")

Materials:

  • Sport Weight Yarn: 205 yds to 315 yds, Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) straight, US 6 (4.00mm) straight & double pointed,

You Will Also Need:

  • 2 stitch holders or waste yarn, 3 buttons to fit buttonholes, stitch markers, tapestry needle
