Excellent for beginners (as well as more proficient knitters). Designed for standard gauge punchcard machines. Knitted in a simple all over tuck stitch, it is simplicity itself! It can be knitted in one colour, two colours (left side colour a / right side colour b) or stripes. With a light, flowing, sensuous feel and a generous drape. Full length, based on the traditional Mexican type poncho, it can be knitted in less than a day.
Designed for 4ply acrylic yarn, although any yarn can be used provided tension matches. How many knitters don't have part cones of 4ply hanging around? What better way is there to use up these remnants. This gorgeous poncho will make you the height of fashion even if you are a beginning knitter.
This pattern is designed by myself; I have a B.A. (hons) degree in knitwear design and I have written patterns for Machine Knitting News, Modern Knitting, Profitable Machine Knitting as well as yarn companies, including Bramwells and Atkinsons. I currently design for Machine Knitting Monthly.

From the time I could pick up a crayon or pair of scissors I have created, and created, and created ..... I had my first solo art exhibition at age 14!
I went on to University and took a B.A. (hons) degree in Knitwear Design at Nottingham Trent University and am now a pattern designer.
