Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knitting in the round

Pattern Description:

These socks are begun with a Bosnian-style, square garter-stitch toe; they can be adjusted to fit a variety of sizes and are easily tested to check the fit of the foot. Beginning at the toe has many advantages: custom fit, last-minute size adjustments, and for
the knitter's peace of mind, once past the ankle, you can continue to work up the leg until you have used up almost half of the yarn and know that you have sufficient for the second sock.

This pattern is included in my collection "Cool Socks Warm Feet"

Gauge:

For a sock to wear well it is important to knit a dense fabric. Choose abnormally small needles for the size of the yarn. Work a small Stocking stitch swatch to ensure you are achieving a suitable fabric.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Adult Small to Large

  • 100 grams Fingering Weight Wool

You Will Also Need:

  • 2.25 mm dpns or circular needles
  • small amount of similar weight waste yarn

Suggested yarn:

425 meters of Fingering weight
