Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Cast on, cast off. Knit and Purl on the same row. Sew seams.

Pattern Description:

This is a simple poncho with a slimming cowl neckline and a flattering line and texture created by the stitch when used in combination with a variegated or multicoloured yarn.

This poncho is one size fits all - intended for the adult woman.

It was inspired by my friend Stephie V. who loves ponchos.


20 sts and 21 rows = 10cm square
Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Length: 112cm Neck Opening: 72cm


  • Carnival 8ply. 4 x 100g balls. Suggested colours 245, 242, 247, 215, 251, 203, 246, 250 Size 5mm needles Tapestry needle
