- An intermediate level pattern - you'll need to be able to work in a basic moss st and cable pattern, and be able to increase and decrease.
Pattern Description:
A generous fit coat cardigan in all over moss stitch with a giant horseshoe cable as a feature. Almost cape like in silhouette with deep extended raglan sleeves that hit fashionably at the elbow with an oversized cuff opening.
Accessorized with a moss stitch and horseshoe cable snood.

Size 1 - 1760m (1920yds)
Size 2 - 1870m (2040yds)

Note: yardage includes approximately 440m / 480yds for snood.

13 stitches and 22 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in moss stitch

- To fit: Chest: Size 1 81-101cm (32-40in); Size 2 101-122cm (40-48in); Size 3 122-132cm (48-52in)
- Knitted measurements approx: Chest Size 1 117cm (46in) Size 2 127cm (50in) Size 3 137cm (54in) Length Size 1 71cm (28in) Size 2 81cm (32in) Size 3 91cm (36in)
Materials:
- You'll need between 1925 - 2406 yards (1760 - 2200 m) of bulky / chunky weight yarn - we've used Rowan 'Purelife' undyed 100% wool. The shade shown in the photos is is Steel Grey Sussex
- 1 pair 7mm (US101/2) needles and a large cable needle
- 3 x 4cm (13/4in) buttons; 3 x 2.5cm (1in) buttons
- Stitch holders, stitch markers or waste yarn
- Row counter.

I've been involved in knitting for many years, having graduated with a first class degree in knitted textiles from the Scottish College of Textiles.
My early career saw me working as a knitwear designer, firstly in London for well-known cashmere brands Tse Cashmere and Ballantyne Cashmere - and then moving to New York and working as senior designer and design director for high profile labels - ...

My early career saw me working as a knitwear designer, firstly in London for well-known cashmere brands Tse Cashmere and Ballantyne Cashmere - and then moving to New York and working as senior designer and design director for high profile labels - J. Crew, The limited and Ann Taylor.
When I returned to Scotland in 2004 I launched my own knitwear label 'Jo Storie Hand Knits' and in 2011 launched the first set of patterns from my knit wear collections.
These patterns are for garments and accessories that I've designed with a Modern Heritage feel using traditional stitches updated in contemporary silhouettes.
