Pattern Description:

All of us who knit have accumulated a stash or 2! This easy to knit vest is the perfect way to use some of those bits and pieces. The multi yarn vest pictured used 27 different yarns.
If you prefer a solid color vest, it's even quicker to knit. The slip stitch pattern is totally knit - no purling!


4.25 sts/ 1" in pattern with the larger needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • FINISHED CHEST MEASUREMENT: 35 (37, 39.5, 42, 44, 46.5, 49, 51, 53.5)"
  • FINISHED LENGTH: 22 (22, 24, 24, 25, 25, 26, 26.5, 27)"


  • #8 16 and24" circular needle for ribbing, front and armhole edgings
  • #9 needle for body or size needed to get gauge
  • Buttons - 1 to 7
  • Solid color vest - 520 (525, 600, 625, 685, 730, 770, 825, 865) yds worsted weight
  • Stash vest - 200 yds worsted weight for Main Color
  • combination of yarns from your stash to equal the rest of the yardage for your size
