Pattern Description:

This loose 1920's-inspired shrug is worked using a combination of two stitch patterns that are at the same time exquisitely beautiful and deceptively simple. Elegant and relaxed over a chemise or equally awesome with a tank top and jeans.

Construction: Shrug is knit from side to side in one piece. Cast-on and bound-off edges on fronts and sleeves use picot edging. A few short rows add extra flutter to the sleeves. The only seams are across the shoulders and a few stitches under the arms.

Gauge:

15 stitches and 28 rows = 4" in pattern stitch. Stitch and row gauges are interdependent and both equally important.
Adjust needle size if necessary.

Suggested yarn:

1500 yards of Sport weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Sunday Knits Angelic 3 ply

Colorway:

wren
