This top-down cropped cardigan, with a deep hem, closes with 3 buttons. It has a matching button and buttonhole on the ribbed cuffs.
The Lazy Seed Stitch pattern gives the fabric a subtle texture, and short rows at the top of the sleeve add a tailored shape to the shoulders.
Without the short rows this pattern is easy.
The raised rib used in the long collar and deep hem is created by working into the back of each rib stitch.
In Stockinette stitch, 11 sts and 14 rows = 2" (5.00cm)
I can't remember when I couldn't knit, crochet or sew. I am inspired by yarn I find, trends I see on the street, window shopping in Manhattan and suggestions from fellow knitters and crocheters. My goal is to create stylish patterns that are easy to wear, and to find the simplest way to construct them.
