Pattern Description:

This vest comes in 4 sizes and is knit in an unusual yarn: Bollicine Revolution. Revolution has high yardage and makes a lighter-weight garment than other yarns of its thickness.

I've also swatched this stitch pattern in Cascade's 128 Tweed, color #7601 a green tweed, as a good substitute for the Revolution.

Same size ndl was used and you would need 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 hanks (128 yd / 100 gr each) to make the vest. Yes! the vest will be heavier. The Revolution is *very* light for its bulk.

Gauge:

1) 15 sts and 24 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Stockinette

2) 20 sts and 23 rows = 4" over Allover Cable Patt (5-st rep, in Lower Edge)

3) 19.5 sts and 21 rows = 4" over Cable and Rib Patt (11-st rep in Body) with size 9 (5.5 mm) ndls or size to give gauge.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Chest Circumference: 34 / 38.5 / 43 / 47.5"
  • Waist Circumference: 30 / 34 / 38 / 42"
  • Length: 21 / 21.5 / 22 / 22.5"

Materials:

  • Cascade Yarns Bollicine Revolution, 90% merino wool / 10% polyamid, approx. 87 yd / 50 gram ball: 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 balls #14 pale blue or color of your choice
  • 16" and 29-32" US size 9 (5.5 mm) circular needles (ckns)

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry ndl
  • Cable ndl
  • Stitch holders, waste yarn, or spare ckn
  • Stitch marker
