I first started to design clothes for my children when they were younger and went on to sell garments through shops and craft fairs. I also taught the use of machine knitting and knitwear design. I later followed a career in IT, but I now have a granddaughter and whilst hand knitting for her was inspired to start designing and creating knitting patterns again.
I have always loved to paint, so have combined this art into my knitting. I hope you will also enjoy knitting these designs. Most are in stocking stitch using intarsia charts. A different coloured yarn is used according to the chart and when knitting across the row, yarns are crossed at the back. Patterns can be knitted with any type of yarn within each featured thickness, i.e. 4 ply, double knitting, chunky etc. and are not exclusive to a particular brand of yarn so the choice of colours and suppliers are endless. Tension guidelines and full instructions are supplied with the downloadable pattern.
I will be constantly adding new designs so keep visiting the site.
